Botulinum Toxin Description

HYAMELY is a peptide produced by the bacterium Clostridium BTX that causes a temporary reduction in muscle activity, decreasing the action of muscles and causing relaxation of expression lines. This effect relaxes abd smooths the look of the lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive movement on the face-most commonly, between the brows, crows feet around the eyes, and horizontal forehead creases. It is also used cosmetically to balance facial asymmetry and relax tight neck bands, as well as medically to reduce perspiration and to treat migraine headaches and muscle spasticity.

Precautions

1. Facial massage, hot compress and rubbing are forbidden within one month after face-lifting with btx
2. Avoid eating hard-shelled foods after face-lifting with btx; fasting spicy and seafood foods, avoiding tobacco and alcohol within a week.
3. In the early stage of face-lifting with btx, chewing weakness and soreness may occur.
4. Because of chewing habits, there will still be slight asymmetry on both sides after injection.
5. A small number of people may be insensitive to the drug and the effect is not obvious, so you should return to the clinic after 2 weeks.
6. Btx is recoverable after face-lifting, which means that it needs to be injected again in theory to maintain the effect after three to six months.
7. The first injection of btx is suitable for early wrinkles. Although the injection for severe wrinkles for the elderly is effective, the effect is poor.
8. Do not use cosmetics on the day of btx injection. When injecting, cooperate with the doctor as much as possible to make the wrinkles clear.
9. Do not take aspirin or aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as gentamicin and kanamycin) within 2 weeks before the injection of btx, because they will enhance the toxicity of btx type A.
10. Rest quietly within 4 hours after injection of btx. Keep your body upright. Do not do strenuous activities within 24 hours.
11. Do not massage the area where the btx is injected to prevent the A-type btx from spreading to the muscles in other parts.
